Tooth Fairy concept

Description

Done for a university club that I'm now part of, where every two weeks we draw something based on that week's topic; today it was Fairies.

A more twisted take on the tooth fairy. Vicious creatures that seek out & collect fallen teeth and fuse them onto their heads, creating a "crown" used to compete against other male tooth fairies in order to impress a female mate.
Fairies wearing fresher teeth tend to have more chances of winning; So if desperate, they will violently attack other animal species or humans to claim a fresh tooth.

This is a very intriguing and unique take on the Tooth Fairy, a fairytale which goes back rather far. It diverts from the traditional idea of a "pixie" or small winged person taking teeth and leaving some money or candy behind.

The design of the creature itself is quite original. The head shape is reminiscent of a dinosaur or fish of sorts, or some other beast. The "crown of teeth" concept is good in its concept and depiction here, and funny due to the pun inside of that term.
The frail body, however, I am unsure of how it would manage to support such a probably-heavy head. Not much is awfully bad about this.

Overall, this is a very good piece of art, and I'd actually like to learn your methods.
